If you have just completed you intermediate level(+2 level) or A-level then you might get problem to choose which subject will be best for your upcoming future . If you want to study the computer related course in bachelor degree then many courses are available in nepal . IT ,computer engineering and CSIT are the three major courses in Nepal . But may students gets confused about the different between CSIT course and Computer engineering course.
Today we are discussing about the same topic.
Are you having trouble to select the 4 year computer course CSIT or computer Engineering? then you are in the write place.
before starting this i would like to say that the two courses has its own pros and cons. I'll try to list out the different between the CSIT vs Computer Engineering and you can make an informed decision on your own.
Computer Engineering:
Pros:
1. you can add Er. tag before your name after completing your degree.
2. It is older than the CSIT course and reputed too .So chances of getting job is more for computer engineers.
3. you can get government full or partial scholarship in computer engineering because of lots of investment of government into computer engineering than into CSIT
4. If you get chance to study in Pulchowk Engineering College then your name and fame will be high.
Cons;
1. this course contains more theoretical part. So it is less job oriented than CSIT
2. It is the old course than the CSIT . It is not updated or revised.
3. Though you don;t have job skills you may get great marks in every subjects.
4. It focused on electronics based subjects as far as actual programming is concerned.
CSIT(Computer Science and Information Technology)
Pros:
1. Course contained more job oriented subjects.
2.This course contained only the related contents need for computer students.
3. It has more elective subjects and paths . for example you can take subjects specializing in programming, networking, database security etc.
Cons:
1. It is expensive and you can not get any scholarship from government.
2.You can not call yourself as an engineer(That means you can not write Er. before your name after completing degree)
3. It is less reputed degree .
