The First Bullet Train In India Under Sea


Train in India is very common thing now a  days. But the bullet train is first time going  to be launched in India. As name itself says the " bullet". You can think how much faster  will be the bullet train travels.

The first bullet train is going to be launched in India soon.This bullet train will link Mumbai and Ahmedabad and include stint below see levels . The passengers will experience riding under sea while they are travelling between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, reports The Economic Times.

The  bullet train project will be 508 km long and rail corridor will be 21 km long tunnel under the sea. The bullet train will be able to cover two cities within two hours with speed of 350 kilo meter per hour and operating speed of 320 kilometer per hour(kmph). At present, Duronto Express takes seven hours to cover the distance between two centres.


To built this high-speed train, The Japanese prime Minister shinzo Abe committed to give 12 billion dollars of cheap rate loan to Indian Government. The interest of this loan is just 0.1 percent rate with repayment over 50 years.

 The equipment link signalling and power system will be imported from Japan as per the agreement between Japan and India.




The loan agreement is likely to signed by the end of this year and construction work will be begin by the end of 2018 according to the press Trust of India.


The bullet train should take 100 trips per day in order to be financially viable according to the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
